 There was a time when things moved a little slower, and the "special events" were few and far between. 

As a little kid a highlight of the calendar every year was the annual agricultural show, that's something that I've lost sight of until just a few weeks ago.

Tea for me

It's been hot.  Really hot. 
And I made about 15 batches of iced tea yesterday - to do as the weather man said and stay hydrated. Also gave me a chance to try out the yellow rock sugar that's been lurking in my cupboard for months waiting for a good excuse to come and join the fun.
Didn't do much for my sleeping last night - all that caffeine came back to bite me, and bite me hard.
