The punctuation and numbers you need to make an epic quilt.

The expansion pack supports our Quilt it like FUTURA foundation paper piece quilt pattern inspired by FUTURA a geometric sans serif font designed by Paul Renner, 1927 (Bauer Font Foundry, Germany)

Whilst this pattern assumes some user knowledge of foundation paper piecing, a confident and patient beginner should be able to follow along.

Each block will measure 6″x6″ finished (approx 15cm x 15cm). Standard 1/4″ quilting seam allowances are required. Each block pattern includes marking to allow for characters to be used in combination – a great way to ensure consistent spacing between characters when building words and sentences. Spaces between characters when using these markings are 3/4″ (approx 2cm)

BONUS FEATURE – This is an excellent scrap buster – use up your left over binding and tiny scraps to make each letter and combine with larger scraps as the background.

Useful tool – if you’ve got an ‘Add-a-quarter’ ruler this is an ideal project to give it a run.

I’m excited to see how you use this pattern to create crisp FUTURA-fied quilts.
